Siblings often need their own time to process their experiences of family life and being a brother or sister to the child attending therapy. At times these sessions can act as a way to inform this child regarding their sibling’s diagnosis and what this might look like on a day-to-day basis for them. Struggles with parents, conflict with siblings and strong emotions can often be assisted through spending time reflecting and processing experiences, as well as articulating their own needs and how to have these met.
