Inside Out Occupational Therapy Group provides a home and school-based service in Perth and surrounding suburbs for children, adolescents and families.

This allows for a comprehensive assessment and therapy process within the child and family’s natural environments and ensures intervention priorities are embedded in everyday routines which, in turn, optimises the opportunities for emotional and physical growth.

Emotional and physical wellbeing are intrinsically connected.  We see children, adolescents and their families using a client-centred and holistic model of practice.

The occupational therapy services provided include individualized assessment, individual therapy sessions, group-based work, school-based support and liaison, parent consultation, parent therapy and family therapy.

As each child and family is unique, our assessment and therapy process is tailored to meet individual needs and includes:

  • Fine motor skills
  • Gross motor skills
  • Visual perceptual skills
  • Sensory processing and integration
  • Self-regulation (including attention and emotions)
  • Psychosocial skills (including social skills, self-esteem, confidence and motivation)
  • Family systems.

Referrals can be initiated through parents, teachers, school psychologists, doctors or other health professionals.

Medicare rebates are available via the Enhanced Primary Care Program (replaced by the Chronic Disease Management) and Better Access to Mental Health.  Eligibility needs to be discussed with your referring doctor.

Private health insurance claims for assessment and treatment will depend on the individual’s provider and level of cover.
